Johann Weyer was a Dutch physician and occultist who studied under the famed occult scholar Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa. He wrote against witch trials and the existence of witchcraft, including a point-by-point rebuttal to the Malleus Maleficarum, as well as one of the most influential descriptions of the demon hierarchy in the Pseudomonarchia Daemonum.
