The Book of Forbidden Knowledge was published in sometime after 1951 in the United States as part of a novelty series, along with books on, among other sundry topics, jokes, poker strategy, and Jui Jitsu.
It contains a list of superstitions, auspicious days, spells, talismans, omens, and folk remedies. The section titled "Secrets of Black Magic Revealed" is a list of spells copied verbatim from the 1725 grimoire The Egyptian Secrets of Albertus Magnus.
